Story
Hailing from the wilderness hub of East Gippsland, Victoria, 20 year old Gavin Jesson is heading off on a ride to promote environmental awareness in young people and raise money to support organizations already doing so.
A mad keen touring cyclist as well, the next adventure has been rattling around in Gav's head for a long time and eventually became known as 'Booramby to Byon' 2000km+ self sufficient, solar powered, tiny budget, bike ride linking areas of environmental activism and significance.
Along the way Gavin is going to be growing his beard and using Beardson's 'start a conversation about conservation' as a mantra to fuel his love of a yarn.

Beardson for Conservation
BEARDSON for Conservation is Australian community based, not-for-profit, environmental organisation that promotes conservation awareness. Our aim is to preserve existing habitats and maintain healthy and sustainable ecosystems.
We encourage everyone to start a “Conversation about Conservation" this is done through The Winter Blanket Challenge.The Winter Blanket Challenge allows people to chose an individual or group category with beards, hair growth and hair/beard styles.
Our current campains is to raise awareness and funds for the protection of the Tarkine, Leard forest, the Great Barrier Reef and many more environments under threat.
