Hi there!

I'm gearing up and making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to my heart. I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small. 

With a fine group of friends and an amazing support crew, we will be riding approximately 380 km on our road bicycles from Gold Coast to Coffs Harbour over the weekend of 28-30 September. This is a gruelling ride that takes us through mountains with some steep climbs and along flat, long highways with narrow shoulders and LOTS of vehicles. Day 1 sees us stopping overnight at Lismore, day 2 at Grafton and then on to Coffs Harbour at the end of day 3 for a well-earned rest and swim.

I thought I should make a difference since I was riding a long way and that ought not be just for the challenge of it, so I chose to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease Research Institute of Australia.. There is extra meaning in this ride for me, as a family member was diagnosed with the disease in 2015. 

MND is a very difficult disease that progresses at different rates and sees sufferers lose their ability to perform some of even the most basic tasks that we take for granted. There is no cure for it and none in sight at this stage so the need for research funds continues so we can find a cure someday.
