New Horizons 2021 Western Tiers Cycle Challenge
New Horizons 2021 Western Tiers Cycle Challenge
Story
Hi there!
We're gearing up and making a difference by fundraising for New Horizons Tasmania, as we take part in the 15th annual Western Tiers Cycle Challenge!
The work of New Horizons Tasmania in providing sport and rec opportunities for Tasmanians with disability is vital. Everyone deserves the chance to lead a physically and social active life - and communities strengthen and thrive, the more inclusive we make them.
New Horizons and our members so appreciate appreciate any contribution you would like to make, big or small. And no doubt our fabulous cyclists value the support too :)
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to New Horizons Tasmania.
Thanks so much for your generosity!
The NHT team x
New Horizons Tasmania
New Horizons Tasmania has been providing vital sport, recreation and social opportunities to local people with disability in Northern Tasmania and now statewide, since 1986. We currently run 21 programs a week, 48 weeks a year for over 420 members.
It’s about ensuring that everyone in our community has the chance to reap the fantastic benefits that an inclusive, active life brings!
Through participating in sport and activities that many of us are lucky enough to simply take for granted, NHT members have the chance to set and achieve goals; follow their dreams.
This year we sent four teams interstate to represent Tasmania in inclusive AFL, Futsal, Cricket and Indoor Cricket tournaments. Our members travelled all around Australia (and the world in fact) to compete in boccia, ten pin, swimming and more. And all the while, we remained busy at our Mowbray and Hobart clubhouses, hosting and facilitating local sports, art and craft, musical and social activities for members of all abilities. It’s a wonderfully full and busy life here, that’s for sure!
