Cambodian Children Charity Bike Ride
Cambodian Children Charity Bike Ride
Story
Hi Everyone,
To help make a difference in the lives of those in need, I am getting on my bike in October and riding in the HIRO4HOPE charity ride. A grueling 900 km, five-day journey from Laos to Cambodia thru eastern Thailand...
50 fellow cyclists and I are riding to raise money for the HOPE for Cambodian Children Foundation, which helps poor and vulnerable children in Battambang, Cambodia. The money we raise will pay for them to receive an education to help them, and their familes, support themselves in the future. In 2015 our riders, with the generous support of donors, enabled HOPE to open three pre-school classes for over fifty 3 to 5 year old children. But it is not only about education - malnutrition can stunt children physically and intellectually. The Little HIRO's pre-schoolers are now provided with a nutritious breakfast every day, and for many of them, this will be the best meal they have all day. These children will be well-prepared to start government school when they reach 6 years of age and leave our pre-school.
I am paying all my own expenses so 100% of donations will go straight to the Foundation.
Every dollar counts in these children's lives. To donate, please click here: https://cycle.gofundraise.com.au/page/SeanFarquhar
All amounts are welcome. Thank you very much!
Sean
