Hallo liebe Fahrradfans und Abenteuerer! (below in English also)
Wir bereiten am 11. Juni eine nächtliche Fahrradtour im Thüringer Wald auf dem Bergkamm Rennsteig vor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rennsteig). Dabei werden wir mehrere hundert Höhenmeter und um die 60 Kilometer auf steinigen holprigen Wegen überwinden. Nächtlicher Wald, hoffentlich Sterne und wegen steilen Aufstiegen brennende Beine werden unsere Begleiter sein.
Wir planen diese Fahrradtour, mit der wir zeigen wollen, dass wir es ernst meinen, obwohl diese Tour wirklich ein Anlass zum Spaß haben sein wird. Wir meinen es ernst, dass wir die Projekte von www.hands-across-the-world.org unterstützen. Hands Across the World fokussiert sich auf die Entwicklung von Schulen in Kambodscha und deren Unterstützung durch progressives Lehrer-Training und wir wollen auch helfen. Hi fellow adventurers!
We prepare a bike tour in the night of 11. June in the Thuringian Forest on the ridge of the Rennsteig. During the tour we will have to overcome extensive heights and about 60 kilometres of bumpy and rocky paths. Darkness, stars and burning legs (because of steep ascents) will be our companions.
We plan a bicycle tour because we want to show that we are serious about our support of the projects of www.hands-across-the-world.org. The event itself, of course, will be fun packed and exciting. Hands Across the World focuses on the empowerment of teachers in Cambodia and implements projects to help partner-schools develop teaching approaches with a sustainable impact. Hands Across the World
Hands Across the World's mission is to tackle the atrocities of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and human slave labour through education programs. Empowerment of the local people and prevention of these outrageous crimes.
The main means through which we aim to achieve this is education. We believe education is the great equalizer and the key to preventing these atrocities. It also provides opportunities by empowering people to create a brighter future for the whole community.
The 'Interactive Teacher Training' was formed in response to the low-quality teaching methodology in poor rural communities around Siem Reap. Here teachers from marginalized communities come together to learn quality teaching techniques, these teachers then spread their skills and knowledge within their remote community schools to the children. These students then have a chance to move away from potential dangers of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and human slave labour.
