Bowral Classic 90k Bike Ride
Bowral Classic 90k Bike Ride
Story
Hi there!
I'm gearing up and making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to my heart. I’d appreciate any contribution, big or small.
One of my bestest friends from home, Sarah, has struggled with Colitis for almost 5 years and I've seen her through some of the really bad times but also the good. I''ve seen how this disease can turn lives upside down. From one day being absolutely fine to the next being in extreme pain - this disease is unforgiving. Currently, there’s no known cure for Crohn’s disease.
Sarah is one of the bravest people I know and whilst this illness has had a huge effect on her life she has never just given in to it. She has continued to fight and remains positive. I am so proud she has never lost her sparkle.
I want to raise awareness of this illness so that people know just how brave sufferers like my friend Sarah are.
The 90k Bowral charity cycle is also known as the 'howling dog with the long tail'. We'll be on the same course as the 160k riders during which we'll climb over 1,000m of ascent across the Southern Highlands.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Crohn's & Colitis Australia
For more than three decades, Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA) has been empowering the more than 100,000 Australian men, women and children living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis – collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – to live fearlessly.
While we invest in research for a cure, CCA continues to advocate for world best treatments and health services for those living with IBD. Through our programs we offer education and support for Australia’s growing Crohn’s and colitis community and raise awareness of the disease. Importantly, our services are offered free of charge.
