Tour De Jim

Story

"Tour De Jim"

The great man - Jim "Cadel" Markovski will be tackling a gruelling 135km ride from Torquay to Melbourne on October 20, 2013.

Jim has dedicated his ride as his "CYCLE FOR THE CHEKOLE'S".

The Chekole's, an Ethiopian family has 7 children - 5 boys and 2 girls. The children are aged 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 18.

The family would benefit greatly from joining the Redskins Basketball Club (A 20th Man Fund program) but are struggling to raise the funds to cover fees, uniform etc.

Jim hopes to raise enough to cover all associated costs so that all of the children can enjoy the simple pleasure of - playing sport. The Redskins Basketball Club will provide a fantastic "team" and "community" environment for the Chekole children and they will become part of the local domestic basketball competition.

Should Jim exceed his target - any additional funds will go to purchasing the kids gym shoes to play in.

Jim is not only an integral part of the 20th Man Fund team - he is an incredible example of of someone who never stops giving.

Jim is doing all the hard-work, all you have to do is donate a little to his quest and you will help a young group of kids play sport and become a part of their local community.
